Atomix Boat 420 Fishing

Great day out fishing today as was a break in the wind.. been windy as the last few weeks. Got out again to my friend Mark's spot. Great spot.. caught Snapper and Tarakihi but only around 35 cm. Thought I was about to land a 20 pound snapper as had a real good fight with one fish... Turned out to be a eel but was 8 feet long.. it was huge!.. Let it go again to grab someone else's line!. Had a few small kingi's show up for a short time... Was nice to eat some fresh fish tonight and look forward to going back out. Very happy with the boat.. Rides so well.

Atomix Boat 420

Was a fantastic day on Saturday.. No wind and flat seas so a great time to get out and check out a couple of reefs a bit closer. From having bigger boats and fishing out Motti Island way.. time was spent checking out some spots with the GPS and Sounder at 2 mile reef and a couple of good spots a little further out. Still impressed the boat.. 30 mile an hour top speed  Cruise at about 20 mile an hour. 3 hours crusing along with some trolling used about 9 liters of fuel!. The day was more about checking out spots but did get a bit of jigging in.. Caught just a big barra and a rock cod.. but at least the boat catches fish!. Did not see one bird!! or school of fish... Where are the Kahawia!!!

Atomix Boat 420

Wow been a very long time since I logged into the blog!...  Hope to once again start it up. Last week started a new role with EmployNZ as a Programme Manager getting people into work. As per the photos.. last week also brought a new boat.. an Atomix 420.. Just 6 hours on the clock.. Took it out for the first time today.. it handles really well for a small boat.. was a windy day but went out the entrance anyway to see how it handled. It handled it very well in the big seas!.  Looking forward to posting plenty of photos as we get ready for summer!

Auckland Waiheke Trip

Went to Auckland for the weekend...  Rained most of the time! but got out and about shopping and made a quick trip on the ferry to Waiheke Island.

Run Ellie Run!

Took Jakob and Ellie to the park today..  Full On!.. Ellie ran the whole time everywhere...  Called into my parents place on the way home to say hi.. turned our back and lost Ellie.. found her running down the foot path on their street! lol.. 

Jakob

Went out this morning with Jakob to the park..  We had lots of fun on the play ground and swings and snapped off a few photos.. He is soo cute.. Just like his Poppa!

Sarah-Jane

I had Sarah-Jane come around for the night on Friday.. We had so much fun! She wouldn't let me take her photo as was just too busy playing so while we had our lunch on the new deck (in the cold!) I snapped off a few photos. When it comes to kids, sometimes B & W look so much better. I just love these 3 photos of her at the table. :-)

Mt Drury - a different view

Went for a walk/run around the Mount today... then through town and up Mt Drury. You get such a different view of the harbour from there.
