Reflections

I really love this photo of the reflections in the pool of the hotel I stayed at in Auckland on Thursday. Was there last week and again this week for some meetings. Went for a swim on the 4th floor and decided this would make a great photo so went back to my room and grabed my camera.

Was a great evening as ended up singing karaoke in a Queen St bar.. my two fav songs! lol Proud Mary and Bad Habits.. later that night... lots of fun and sung well out of tune! :-)

Auckland in the rain

Was at a Computer launch in Auckland last week with work and took this photo from my hotel room. Was a pretty dirty window and raining hard but such a great view.

No photos on this post.. Over the last while have taken some great photos of friends and family at different locations around Tga. has been a lot of fun.
Thinking about getting a new camera soon and must start geting out and about again with it.

Tauranga Jazz Fest

Well about time I got back on here and picked up my camera again and spend time taking photos and try and get away for some weekends....

I spent the weekend at the Jazz Fest in town and at the 17th ave Village.. lots of fun.. great music. Enjoyed going to the Village on Sunday.. was a nice relaxing time. Took my camera along today and got a few good shots.. I like this B & W of a Jazz band playing on the verandera of a very old-style house

A fantastic day - great weather on a staff development day out at McLaren Falls today.. went for a walk which overlooked the falls and to the animal park..

Playing around in the dark with my little phone torch!

I like these pictures taken in my lounge in the dark.. Camera on about 5 seconds shutter speed while shining my torch over the subject.. would like to get into a bit more of this..
The green is the faceplate of my phone torch as I wave it around...
... You have to love little Bella's painting she did for me for my Christmas present.. even if I am the Christmas Grinch!! :-)

Cat-A-Pilla

Took this a few weeks ago. I have a swan plant and had quite a few of these on it and then spining their cocoons and hatching... as of late my smaller catapillas have gone missing.. I think the praying mantis is back!!!... will have to hunt him down and take a photo before I move it along! :-).. I have seen them eat the 'pillas before on the plants.

Hydroplane Boats back in Tauranga

Was a great weekend..

Took some pictures of the hydroplane boats racing in Tauranga.. Some photos of some art work for a friend for a catalog as well. Enjoy taking on a challange.

Went to my first ceroc dance party!.. hhmmm I now know what other people feel like when they come to tango as I was out of my depth a bit! :-)..and a real newbie! Such a different dance than salsa and Tango but great fun..

Swiming at Pilot Bay at the Mount on Sunday.. I had a few days off work this week so back into it again on Monday...
